15 minutes of Trafik - Retrospective performance

About performance:

The TRAFIK artists position themselves within a museum like context, announcing what the spaces of the initial venue could be. Andrej Mirčev finds himself in the role of curator guiding the museum’s attendees through this fictional exhibit in which the performers become live artefacts. Each of the peformers, authors, got his 15 minutes to perform own material.

The  transitional-fictive theatre celebrated its fifteenth anniversary with the project  15 Minutes of TRAFIK, performed in the spaces of the now vacated factory Rikard Bencic, a possible location for a future Museum of modern and contemporary art in Rijeka. This is a devastated and neglected space, which imposes itself as a sort of transitional space  between what once was a factory and what once could be a museum. Through auto-irony, and by evoking Warhal’s “fifteen minutes of fame”, TRAFIK in this celebratory project question their own identity, offering a sort of retrospection of their own works. The TRAFIK artists position themselves within a museum like context, announcing what this space could one day be, they exhibit their past and are joined on this journey  by celebrities from the world of contemporary art and dance. The virtual museum tour concludes with the exhibition of TRAFIK posters of the past fifteen years. Thus this project which evolves on the margins of different performing forms at its conclusions also is framed as an exhibit.

Project authors are: Marin Alvir, Magdalena Lupi Alvir, Lara Badurina, Edvin Liverić, Silvia Marchig, Josip Maršić, Andrej Mirčev, Iva Nerina Sibila, Gordana Svetopetrić i Žak Valenta

TRAFIK perfomers at 31 Dance Week Festival   in Zagreb and in Karlovac are:   Lara Badurina, Edvin Liverić, Silvia Marchig, Josip Maršić, Andrej Mirčev, Iva Nerina Sibila, Gordana Svetopetrić i Žak Valenta. Audiences are guided on this journey by:  Andrej Mirčev i Josip Maršić.

The performance in Zagreb has been adjusted for the Zagreb Dance Venue space, and in Karlovac for the space at Castle Dubovec.
